H.Skogen Design is an interior design studio based in the heart of The Lake District, Cumbria.

Working across the North of the UK, we create unique, well-designed spaces where every detail is important –

helping clients take a project from the initial idea right through to completion.

“Heidi came and designed the three bathrooms in our house – she came up with lots of different designs and we worked her very hard, she was very willing and listened to our style preferences and she helped source the furniture. Will definately be using Heidi again on any projects we have, it really helped hold the tradesmen accountable to have a design from the beginning.”

Heidi supported us in a number of ways during our renovation. She helped us to pull together our own ideas, introduced us to new ideas and worked hard to help us realise a cohesive, whole house refurbishment. The house is beautiful, subtle, clever, with clean lines and a calming vibe throughout. We wouldn't have achieved the flow and consistency without her. Highly recommended

H.Skogen Design is an interior design studio based in the beautiful, picturesque English Lake District. Founded in 2017 by Norwegian interior designer Heidi Skogen Graham. Heidi has over 16 years of experience working with leading companies in London, Oslo & The North West.

H.Skogen Design prides itself on creating considered, elegant home designs. With a background in projects in the hospitality and commercial design sectors, our main focus is on residential properties. Helping people create spaces that positively transform how they live, and work is the driving force behind what we do.

Applying skills, understanding, and collaborating with the client, we bring in local craftsmen and suppliers to realise their vision and have a passion for bringing concepts to life. As specialists in unlocking complex space plans and remodelling schemes that need rethinking, we ensure that every design solution is explored. Giving buildings and spaces a new lease of life by transforming and renovating the interior and exterior, we adapt them to work for the client.

Influenced by Scandinavian design, Nordic living and nature, H Skogen Design creates carefully considered interiors by applying ingenuity, knowledge, and meticulous attention to detail.

The process is broken down into stages, so the workflow and fees are easier to understand.

Every stage is adapted to suit each individual client, project and site.

Site visit and initial meeting. Developing the brief with the client, identifying aspirations, requirements and discussing budget, programme and time constraints.

Every fee proposal is tailored to each individual project and will outline fees and proposed scope of works.

Concept Design and

Space Planning

Dimension survey of the site, Outline plan proposals and initial ‘look & feel’ imagery.

Developed and Detailed Design

Working collaboratively with you (the client), the contractor and other consultants – layouts and concept designs are developed through drawings and sketch visuals. Materials and finishes are explored, creating mood boards for each space and specifications for finishes, fittings, furniture, lighting and equipment. Concept design for any bespoke joinery and specialist pieces are drawn up. The project budget gets updated simultaneously by obtaining trade quotations from suppliers and manufacturers and liaising directly with the contractor. Any required statutory approvals are also dealt with at this stage (planning applications and building control)

Detailed design intent drawings, including floor plans (finishes, lighting and small power layouts) sections, elevations and details on a larger scale. We also coordinate information from specialist suppliers, craftsmen and other consultants.

Provide site support and undertake site visits. Snagging and quality control is carried out after practical completion.
